July Theme Day: "No" Access.
The top of the Conference Center in downtown Salt Lake City is a garden. Seriously. The entire roof is planted with trees and plants native to Utah and that alone is beautiful. The views from the roof are also quite amazing as they are for the most part unbostructed toward the west. Sunset on the roof is something to behold. I hope to be able to get back up there for some photos, but for now there is no access.

Having grown up in Utah, I was hoping you'd post a picture of a "Do Not Walk on the Grass" sign. When we'd visit my dad on campus (he worked at BYU), we'd see those signs and they'd irk me. Nothing a kid wants to do more than run on all that grass in those open spaces! That said, though, this is an good photo for today's theme!
Happy Theme Day!
That's funny - I remember those signs, too. This was as close as I could get, "Do not walk on the roof." Thanks for stopping by!
With Julia and Larry we go up to the roof of a building where there is a garden, but I do not remember which it is and I do think it it this one.
The chevron is universal.
Abby.. I'm just now getting time to browse back through your previous posts (which I am enjoying), and this photo of 'no access' brought the following to mind. In July, 2005, when the afternoon temperature at street level in SLC was 104, my friend and I toured the conference center, and the roof garden. It was 120 degrees up there, due, I think, to all the concrete soaking up the heat. It was a never-to-be-forgotten experience; I nearly melted to the core!
